About Me
My name is Alark Joshi. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Boise State University. My research interests are in the field of data visualization with an emphasis on medical imaging and image-guided surgery.
In a previous life, I am a postdoctoral associate at the Yale University. I am currently working on medical visualization and open-source medical image analysis software.
In a previous previous life, I worked on illustrative visualization for time-varying data and even applied it to hurricane visualization. IĀ applied this work towards a PhD degree from University of Maryland at Baltimore County and had the pleasure of working with Dr. Penny Rheingans during my time there.
